چکیده

Based on the concept of a Lévy copula to describe the dependence structure of a multivariate Lévy process we present a new estimation procedure. We consider a parametric model for the marginal Lévy processes as well as for the Lévy copula and estimate the parameters by a two-step procedure. We first estimate the parameters of the marginal processes, and then estimate in a second step only the dependence structure parameter. For infinite Lévy measures we truncate the small jumps and base our statistical analysis on the large jumps of the model. Prominent example will be a bivariate stable Lévy process, which allows for analytic calculations and, hence, for a comparison of different methods. We prove asymptotic normality of the parameter estimates from the two-step procedure and, in particular, we derive the Godambe information matrix, whose inverse is the covariance matrix of the normal limit law. A simulation study investigates the loss of efficiency because of the two-step procedure and the truncation. AMS 2000 Subject Classifications: 62F10, 62F12, 62M05.

Step change point estimation in the multivariate-attribute process variability using artificial neural networks and maximum likelihood estimation

In some statistical process control applications, the combination of both variable and attribute quality characteristics which are correlated represents the quality of the product or the process. In such processes, identification the time of manifesting the out-of-control states can help the quality engineers to eliminate the assignable causes through proper corrective actions. In this paper, f...

A Two-Phase Robust Estimation of Process Dispersion Using M-estimator

Parameter estimation is the first step in constructing any control chart. Most estimators of mean and dispersion are sensitive to the presence of outliers. The data may be contaminated by outliers either locally or globally. The exciting robust estimators deal only with global contamination. In this paper a robust estimator for dispersion is proposed to reduce the effect of local contamination ...

ارائه یک روش جدید دو مرحله ای جهت تخمین هوشمند سن افراد

Intelligent age estimation via face images has become an important research topic in machine vision and pattern recognition fields because it has a key role in many applications such as customer behavior analysis in a business intelligence system. Age estimation is a process which analyses an individual face image and estimates his/her age based on the year measure. The age estimation process ...

Phase II monitoring of multivariate simple linear profiles with estimated parameters

In some applications of statistical process monitoring, a quality characteristic can be characterized by linear regression relationships between several response variables and one explanatory variable, which is referred to as a “multivariate simple linear profile.” It is usually assumed that the process parameters are known in Phase II. However, in most applications, this assumption is viola...
